Our story begins in the medical practice of allergist and immunologist Avraham Kadar, M.D. Dr. Kadar approached the work of a physician like an educator. He often saw young patients and he believed that if they could simply understand what happens inside their bodies when they experienced a medical phenomenon like an asthma attack, perhaps it would reduce their fear. Maybe they would become better equipped to manage their condition. He saw firsthand the positive outcomes of empowering kids with knowledge, understanding, and agency.

The moment something is suddenly understood is formative—that’s why we call it a “brain pop.”

Twenty years later, we continue to innovate to help the kids of today become the leaders of tomorrow. Our rigorous learning experiences extend far beyond the original movie and quiz format, offering a rich array of resources and tools that develop critical, computational, and creative thinking skills across the curriculum. With BrainPOP, kids have endless opportunities to take agency over their learning.
