“When he said ‘I have a dream,’ I knew that was my dream. And I knew that I could do something.”

January 16 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day (MLK Day) in the United States.

In his USC Shoah Foundation testimony, American World War II veteran and Buchenwald concentration camp liberator, Leon Bass, describes Dr. King’s influence on him – especially as he witnessed Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
