Illegal Education in the Warsaw Ghetto | Vladka Meed | Women’s History Month | USC Shoah Foundation

Jewish Holocaust survivor, Vladka Meed, was born in Poland in 1922. In her 1996 interview with USC Shoah Foundation, Vladka describes the non-violent resistance activities that the Jewish people undertook while imprisoned in the Warsaw Ghetto, and its impact.

“A young girl was talking to older people, and they were listening. And somehow, [there was] hope that this [misery] will pass – it is a time that will not remain forever”

March is Women’s History Month in the United States.
