A Focus on Connection, Finding Positives, and Growth

I have been thinking a lot about what is going on in the world and how I am responding in a way that can help others. In this video, I share three things that have helped me through this time.

1. Having a focus on building connections and relationships. It has been helpful to hear from people that I haven’t heard from in a long time.  Also, I have been reaching out to others more and just enjoying having conversations without focusing on doing something or being somewhere else.  Connections are harder to make but more important than ever.

2. Trying to staying positive and finding and sharing the good I see each day.  Every morning, I have been sharing a tweet with something uplifting at the #yourdailyawwwwww hashtag. I hope that it helps others, but it helps me to start the day by looking for and finding something that makes me happy.

This is one of my favorite quotes from Marc and Angel that has helped me through this time.

“Being positive does not mean ignoring the negative. Being positive means overcoming the negative. There is a big difference between the two.”

I am holding onto that.

3. Having a focus on growing and learning during this time. I tend to stay positive when I focus on doing something each day. This approach might not work for everyone, and that’s okay, but I can struggle if I don’t keep busy and focused forward. This quote helps:

I talk more about each of these ideas in the video at the top of this post, but you can also listen on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify.

Please feel free to share any strategies that you have been using to help you through this challenging time in the comments below.  I hope everyone is doing well.
