In this video, we look at the structure and function of arteries and arterioles. First we explore the function of the arteries and arterioles in relation to capillaries, venules and veins. We then look at the structure of the different layers in the wall of arteries and how these layers are adapted for the function of the arteries. Finally, we look at the structure of arterioles and how the structure is adapted to their function.

This video is aimed at the UK A Level Biology specifications. Students studying International A Level Biology will need to check their specification.
