A Level Biology Revision “Interpreting an Electrocardiogram (OCR / Edexcel)”

In this video, we look at how to interpret an electrocardiogram or ECG. First we explore the features of an electrocardiogram trace and how these relate to the events taking place during the heart beat. We then look at how to measure the heart rate from an electrocardiogram trace. Finally, we look at four medical conditions and how these can be identified from an ECG. These are bradycardia, tachycardia, ectopic heartbeat and atrial fibrillation.
