In this video, we look at how to measure the rate of enzyme controlled reactions. We start by looking at how the amount of product produced by an enzyme changes with time. We then explore how to measure the rate of a reaction by drawing a tangent to the curve. Finally, we explore the reasons for the shape of a reaction curve produced by an enzyme, in terms of the frequency of collisions between the substrate and the active site.
