In this video, we look at the stages of meiosis. First I explain why meiosis has two rounds of nuclear division. I then take you through the events that take place in each of the stages of meiosis. In the last part, we look at independent assortment of chromosomes and how this leads to genetic variation in the gametes produced by meiosis.
