A Level Biology Revision (Year 13)

In this video, we look at the endocrine system. First we explore what is meant by endocrine glands and compare these to exocrine glands. We then look at the different types of molecules that can act as endocrine hormones. Finally, we explore how steroid hormones and non-steroid hormones trigger a response in their target cells. This includes the role of second messengers such as cyclic AMP.
