In this video, we look at how the oestrogen receptor acts as a transcription factor. First we explore what is meant by transcription factors and how transcription factors activate transcription of genes. We then look at the oestrogen receptor and how the shape of the oestrogen receptor changes when oestrogen binds. Finally, we look at how the oestrogen receptor acts as a transcription factor.
