In this video, we look at how to name unbranched hydrocarbons. First we explore what is meant by a saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbon, looking at ethane, ethene and ethyne. We then look at how to name unbranched alkanes and alkenes. Finally we explore how to number alkenes to show the position of the double bond.
