Being Proud of Who We Are | Silja Vainer on Contemporary Antisemitism | USC Shoah Foundation

Silja Vainer was interviewed by USC Shoah Foundation in 2015 as part of our “Contemporary Antisemitism” testimony collection. In her interview, Silja recalls antisemitic harassment that she has both endured and witnessed in Denmark.

In this clip, Silja shares an antisemitic incident experienced by her grandson in 2014, and addresses the importance of people feeling empowered to show who they are, regardless of religion.
