Smithsonian Affiliations has gathered a number of video assets featuring students in their own voices talking about environmental issues that concern them, and what they are doing about these issues in their communities. This takes several forms:
1) a 3-minute original film on student action made by a team of 4 teen virtual Smithsonian interns, from 4 different states, who collaborated in Spring 2021;
2) short clips of students describing what motivates them to climate action as part of the presentation of their action plans to the Smithsonian for seed funding;
3) original student-made short videos from a collaboration with City Lore in New York City, describing student concerns and their ideas for solutions that align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. All 4 won awards in the international ChangemakerChallenge Video Competition sponsored by the Global CoLab Network.
