Happy Friday from Mud Run Guide! It’s time to check in with the OCR Community to see what they’ve been up to.

This week, we are flashing back to Spartan’s Trifecta Championships in Greece. Michael Cayer may not have had the race he had trained for due to injuries, but he still got out there and made it happen. Congratulations, Michael!

Spartan Trifecta World Championship Yesterday was the last day for the championship weekend. The Beast was almost cruel because of all the carry’s and their distances. After my first 5k i was already exhausted from the Super and Sprint on Saturday. I struggled through those 21,7k, ran with these amazing athletes, tried to stay focused while carrying those sand bags and chain for almost 2k. I survived for a third race the heaviest Atlas Carry’s and these very long MultiRigs just for the Beast Championship. With ups and downs of energy and cramps, i managed to get 51 position in the male elite category. I was hoping for a better position but when i think of my last week condition, where i could barely walk/sit/sleep because of my back strained, i’m grateful that i was still able to participate and perform well. Good thing i had brought my Flobax Sports solution to reduce that back inflammation just in time for the TWC. Finally, we’re looking at the future of OCR! Kevin Kleinkort’s daughter is only 4 months old and she’s already sporting a Spartan headband. Before you know it, she’ll be tearing up the monkey bars in preparation for some Spartan Kids races!
