‘Crocodile Eggs’ was written and recorded as part of a workshop in Yarralin School run by The Song Room. The program is generously supported by The Smith Family Katherine.

The Song Room facilitator James Winwood worked with the students at Yarralin School and members of the Community to write, record and film the song.

Thanks to Yarralin School principal Zoe Richardson for being so welcoming and flexible!

And finally, thanks to the students and community members for their enthusiasm and courage to try new things.

Crocodile Eggs:

When the Marsh flies bite
You can walk to the Billabong
Make sure you bring some water and a friend along

Look for the tracks that belong to a crocodile
Be patient… don’t worry if it takes awhile

When you see the footprints sitting in the sand
Follow it along til you get to the end

There will be soft sand, find it with your hand
That’s where you dig and maybe then you’ll have…
