Alessandro Sticchi interviews David E. Kandzari about the 3-month primary results of the Target Bp I randomized clinical trial which he presented at #ACC24
The trial reports mixed results on nerve ablation for high blood pressure with a modest but statistically significant difference in lowered blood pressure at 3 months, but no significant differences in other measures. Unexpectedly large blood pressure reductions in the sham group merit further study. The safety profile appears favourable.
