Drawn to an unusual snipping sound, the Floogals discover Mom Hooman cutting off Boy Hooman’s hair. Why would she do that? Doesn’t he need it? And keen to learn why, the Floogals investigate exactly why hair is so important to Hoomans, and Fleeker finds he has a talent for hairdressing.
πΎπΈABOUT FLOOGALS πΈπΎ
Fleeker, Flo and Boomer are on a mission away from their distant planet of Floog to observe and experience our world – planet Earth! Everything is new to them – as it was oh-so-very-recently for our audience of pint-sized explorers. The Floogals have their own unique way of looking at our world and their fresh perspective enlightens our own – often literally. Where a train set is childβs play to us, for our tiny aliens it takes a good deal of ingenuity to find out how it works. Same with a padlock, a frog, an instamatic camera, a puppet show, a dressing up party and even an owl!! We find out with them in close up real-deal-detail what these things are and how they work β with a good deal of slapstick comedy along the way.
When the Floogals spaceship lands in a jumble sale box, an 8 year old sci-fi fan assumes itβs an abandoned toy so he takes it home. In his bedroom surrounded by other spacecrafts, stars and planet mobiles, he hangs his new trophy β Fleeker, Flo and Boomerβs ship β now perfectly positioned to hide in plain sight. Their base established, they go about the daily job of investigating the house and watching the hoomans – always keeping their presence a secret. Each day the Floogals surreptitiously make their way into the household on a mission to document the peculiar behavior of this suburban family of βhoomansβ and the βstuffβ of their lives.
Innately inquisitive, the Floogals inevitably encounter something that sparks their curiosity, setting in motion the dayβs research project and triggering an exciting adventure! Through a process of questioning, predicting, observing and experimenting β floogalling! To coin a verb – the Floogals ultimately arrive at a conclusion about the Project. They scurry back to their spaceship and eagerly compile and send their report to Planet Floog – earning a very special sticker or even a little golden trophy for their collection!
