Gowrie SA is a community-based organisation that provides innovative and responsive services to the children and families located in metro Adelaide, South Australia, on the lands of the Kaurna People. Established in 1940 and nestled amongst towering trees, Gowrie SA boasts an incredible connection to nature and Country both in and outside of the service. The curriculum has been thoughtfully designed to encompass a wide range of learning opportunities for children from birth to preschool. A significant feature of the work of the team at Gowrie SA is their deep connection with the local First Peoples which often culminates in inquiries and projects that build children’s relational knowledge and capacity.
Hear from the Gowrie SA team as they reflect on the connection between their work in the reconciliation space and how this is influenced and meditated by the Reggio Emilia principles.
