November 2 is the United Nations’ International Day to End Crimes Against Journalists. Today, we feature Iraqi Jewish survivor, Ruth Pearl.
In 2002, Ruth’s son, Daniel Pearl, was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan while working as the Wall Street Journal’s South Asia Bureau Chief.
Ruth recorded her testimony in 2014, as part of USC Shoah Foundation’s collection of testimonies from North Africa and the Middle East.
