KU Lance Children’s Centre: A tour

KU Lance Children’s Centre is located in the inner city of Sydney, surrounded by heritage trees, convict-hewn sandstone and views of the Barangaroo site to Sydney Harbour. The environments at KU Lance are thoughtfully developed to promote children’s wellbeing, creativity, problem solving and connection to the wider community as educators draw on a variety of theories including the principles of the educational project of Reggio Emilia.
Join ECA on a guided tour of KU Lance as we discover the ways the surrounding community has influenced their environments.

Reflect: The identity of KU Lance is influenced by the geographical location of the service as well as by the surrounding environment (eg the heritage trees). How is the identity of your setting influenced by its surroundings? Consider children, families, educators, community, and geographical location.
