This video briefly describes how chemistry progressed from 400 BC to 1800. It starts by describing the first proposal of atoms as the building block of matter, before discussing alchemy, and the subsequent shift to modern quantitative chemistry. As part of the video the Laws of conservation of mass, definite proportions, and multiple proportions are introduced, along with the theory of atoms.
