Join educators from Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum to learn how their Smithsonian Learning Lab collections, digital resources, and virtual field trips can support teaching and learning in your classroom. We will show how design can be used to support art, history and social studies, and STEM curricula. We will also introduce the design process and demonstrate how this process can be adapted across the curriculum to help students create, evaluate, and revise all types of assignments and projects. Participants will engage in a few easy, hands-on brainstorming activities that will help to generate ideas for how design might be adapted to suit learners of all ages and across all subjects.
