On December 9, 1946, 23 German physicians faced criminal proceedings for willingly participating in war crimes and crimes against humanity during WWII. These crimes included enacting the “Euthanasia Program” which systemically murdered people with disabilities, and conducting medical experiments on concentration camp prisoners.
In her USC Shoah Foundation testimony, Vivien Spitz describes her daily routine as a court reporter at the trials of Victor Brack, Karl Brandt, and other SS doctors in Nuremberg, Germany, 1946-47.
