Thanks to the generosity of our Men’s Hockey Alumni, local businesses, family, and friends; we are proud to announce the naming of the SUNY Canton Ice Arena: The Terry Martin Arena!!!

Coach Martin served as the men’s hockey coach from 1974 to 1999 and led our teams to an astounding 12 national championships. More importantly, he played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of countless student-athletes, instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance that have extended far beyond the rink.

Naming the arena in his honor is not just a tribute to his remarkable achievements, but also a celebration of the lasting impact he has had on our students and the broader SUNY Canton community.

Funds raised for the Terry Martin Arena will support both our hockey program and the Canton Fund, ensuring that our student-athletes continue to receive top-tier training and resources while also benefiting the broader needs of all our students.
