January 27 is globally recognized as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. On January 27, 1945, approximately 7,000 Auschwitz concentration camp prisoners were liberated by Soviet (Russian) forces. In her USC Shoah Foundation testimony, Holocaust survivor Paula Lebovics describes her liberation experience.
