July 11 is Srebrenica Memorial Day. In this testimony, Bosnian Muslim survivor, Smajil Klempić, shares his experiences during the Srebrenica Genocide.

The Srebrenica Genocide occurred in July 1995, during the Bosnian War. In Bosnia-Herzegovina, more than 8,000 Muslim men and boys were massacred, while women and girls were sexually assaulted and enslaved.

A pilot collection of 20 testimonies of survivors and witnesses has been added to USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive (VHA), in collaboration with the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
