The sun is the star at the center of the solar system. Its gravity is what keeps every planet and particle in orbit. It is a ball of gas. The sun’s light takes 8 minutes to reach our planet. It creates its energy through a process known as nuclear fusion. Without the sun, there would be no life on earth. The sun produces energy that supports all life on earth.
