Watch 400 students from The Song Room’s Transformational Learning through Creativity (TLC) program, with teachers and principals from five schools, celebrate their learning in a Song Room workshop called The Huge Day. The arts learning event was designed to bring the community together to experience music making on a large scale.
The Song Room’s TLC program is a multi-year, multi-artform initiative to transform students, teachers and the entire school culture, through impactful engagement in arts education. This video provides a snapshot of a recent community event held in our Lime Coast regional cluster in SA celebrating student learning and collective teacher efficacy as all 5 schools gathered to share musical making.
It has been delivered in 17 regional primary schools in 4 regional clusters – Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and South Australia over a three-year period. (2020-2022).
