365 Sports Teams Up With Tenfed to Provide Masks For Non-Frontline Workers

If you aren’t aware here’s a quick recap—medical-grade facemasks are a hot commodity with the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping across the globe, and there is a serious shortage. While it would be best if everyone had their own medical-grade mask to protect themselves from harmful droplets, that isn’t a reality.

Wearing a mask can help save lives, but the use of surgical masks and N95 masks should be saved for frontline healthcare workers.

The message from governments concerning how to stay safe has been evolving as the pandemic has grown—but one piece of information has stayed consistent: wearing a mask can help save lives, but the use of surgical masks and N95 masks should be saved for frontline healthcare workers.

Masks of the homemade variety may not save you from inhaling dangerous droplets—but they will prevent your droplets from getting on others. In theory, if everyone wears one, the world will be a safer place when it comes to COVID-19. The reality? Not everyone has a homemade mask or access to one.

Lucky for us, 365 Sports and Tenfed have teamed up to offer masks that not only help protect our communities from the spread of COVID-19, but also help solve world hunger—literally. With each mask purchase, 10 meals will be provided to Canadian families in need—which is a lot considering the amount of jobs lost during the pandemic.

Behind the initiative are 365 Sports, an event and marketing company out of Meaford, Ontario, and Tenfed, a Toronto-based clothing company. For every item Tenfed sells, ten meals are provided to feed hungry children across the globe.

From the beginning of the pandemic, 365 set a goal to do what they do best—procurement. With their expertise in sourcing products for a wide range of clients (many in the outdoor industry) and Tenfed’s brand ethos, the duo makes a dream team when it comes to helping us fight the pandemic together.

If we continue to stay the course, put our minds together, and help out of our neighbors, we can come out of this pandemic stronger than ever. —ML
