Jisc’s cloud managed services have been added to the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud procurement framework for 2020-21.
Janet cloud connect is a new addition to the framework, allowing public sector organisations to connect to cloud providers via the superfast and reliable Janet Network.
G-Cloud 12 is the latest iteration of the government’s procurement for cloud, which allows public sector organisations to buy related services more easily, saving money and time.
First included in the framework in 2019, Jisc has expanded its offering this year with additional services to support organisations moving into the cloud.
James Blessing, deputy director of network architecture at Jisc, says:
“A reliable and robust connection is essential when using cloud services. The Janet Network provides cloud connections that scale and help facilitate organisations looking to move to a cloud strategy or ramp up their use of the cloud. This can be particularly useful in response to a focus on remote and online working.”
Services on the G-Cloud 12 framework are scalable, flexible and shaped to meet an organisation’s specific needs in both the short and long-term.
A full list of suppliers available via the framework is available at Digital Marketplace.
