This module explains how critical reflection forms a crucial part of professional practice in early childhood education and care, and provides a model and suggestions for how to make critical reflection a positive part of everyday practice.

The module will provide you with an understanding of:

how an educator’s critical reflection supports children’s learning, development and wellbeing
three elements integral to your success as a critical thinker: self-awareness, building relationships with others, and building knowledge in yourself and your team
the Circle of Change Revisited Model of Critical Thinking
Once you’ve finished the module, you’ll be able to download and save a certificate of completion.

Suitable for early childhood education and care professionals at all stages of their careers. This module will take an estimated one hour to complete.

Completing Using Critical Reflection will contribute 1 hour of PD addressing standard 3.6.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
