Happy Canada Day! On this day, we remember that life after liberation isn’t always easy. Providing refuge is only the first step, and it’s important to be continuously welcoming towards refugees. In this clip, Jewish Holocaust survivor, Paul Barna, shares his experiences immigrating from Hungary to Canada in 1957, undertaking odd jobs, and facing discrimination from the Jewish community in Montreal.
