In this video, we look at the properties of the elements in group 7, which are also called the halogens. First we look at the colours of the halogens. We then explore how the melting and boiling points change moving down group 7 and explain this by looking at the intermolecular forces involved. Finally, we look at how the electronegativity of the halogens changes down group 7.
