In 1939, after Curt Pollack’s father was released from a concentration camp, Curt’s family and other Jewish refugees fled to Japanese-occupied Shanghai. In his testimony, Curt discusses learning about the horrors of the concentration camps in Europe, and creating lifelong bonds with the other children.
