Today’s educators are increasingly reliant on audiovisual tools, from cameras to microphones. Whether in a remote or hybrid setting, these tools allow them to recreate in-person learning experiences with ease and flexibility.

Livestreaming classes on videoconferencing platforms quickly became the norm when schools shifted to remote learning. Many teachers also started recording their online video lessons for asynchronous learning. “They’ve been forced into video instruction by the pandemic, but many are finding the medium to their liking,” writes Advait Shinde, CEO and co-founder of GoGuardian, for EdTech.

But at this point, with the continuation of online and hybrid instruction, teachers need to up their game, says Bob Knauf, senior product marketing manager at Poly, a global communications company. “If you’re just using the built-in camera and built-in microphones from your laptop, you’re doing everyone a disservice,” he says.
