December 3 is the United Nations’ International Day of Persons with Disabilities. In his USC Shoah Foundation testimony, Jehovah’s Witness Holocaust survivor, Robert Wagemann, recalls being a physically handicapped child in Germany. During the Holocaust, doctors often preferred euthanizing, rather than treating, children with physical disabilities. Robert’s mother helped him to escape from a facility, which saved his life.
