After 10 years of teaching, Nick recently pivoted into a new role with education with the Office of Innovation. Working to help shape the future of education in the state of Arkansas as a partnership with the State Department of Education among other partners. Nick started out by teaching 7th-12th grade science at an alternative school in St. Bernard Parish and have since worked his way up the I-55 and 49 corridors where landed in the Springdale School District teaching and coaching speech and debate and educating minds about communication in real world settings. In the first couple of years he struggled with the concept of allowing students to facilitate their own work but in the last few years has found my passion in letting kids use advocacy and their passion to fuel their learning and higher order thinking skills.
