The Nazis were “searching, looking for Jews” | Ella Blumenthal | USC Shoah Foundation #shorts

Ella (Hela) Blumenthal was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1921. During World War II, Ella survived the Warsaw Ghetto, Auschwitz II-Birkenau death camp, Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, and Majdanek concentration camp. In this clip, Ella recalls hiding from the Nazis, who were “searching, looking for Jews.”

Ella was 74 years old when she recorded her testimony in 1996. She is currently (as of this video’s upload date) 101 years old.
