Black History Month on TVOkids! Our Sunny’s Quest kids teach us about the meaning behind Haiti’s national flag as we take a closer look at its coat of arms and learn about Haiti’s history of defending freedom, starting with its unifying motto.

🌞 ABOUT SUNNY’S QUEST 🌞
Sunny’s Quest features first-person stories told by Black children from across the country.  Each episode showcases a different child and their unique perspective on their day-to-day hobbies, their talents, and heritage. This season’s adventures include: a 10-year-old Canadian Haitian gymnast and future Olympic hopeful; an 11-year-old half Jamaican and part-Indigenous boy who found his true passion for dance at a young age and dreams of being a professional hip hop dancer; a 9-year-old boy of  African Nova Scotian/ Guyanese and European Descent who comes from a long line of advocates for racial equality and is following in his family’s footsteps; and many more!
