[META] Direct links to educational videos

Quick survey of the community on a topic that’s popped up lately.

In general, we try to curate news about and links to courses and programs rather than direct links to individual lectures or exercises. It looks like we have a visitor who would like to provide links to YouTube lectures. You can see an example of this at https://www.reddit.com/r/OnlineEducation/comments/gtadcp/atm_normal_form_of_a_line/

I prefer taking a light touch with this sub in general, and it’s not like we have a hard and fast rule about any kind of content. Plus, it’s educational material, freely provided for the public benefit. It’s what we’re here for, right? That said, I feel like this is skirting the line of spammy self-promotion. I’d never consider removing one video of this nature. It feels like a fair way to advertise a channel that might be interesting to the community. I’m much less comfortable with a series of them.

I’d like to open the topic up to the community. Do you want to see more of this? Do you want to see content like this moderated out? Let us know in the comments!
