Simon is a 9-year-old Inuk boy who lives in Ottawa, Ontario. His passions are painting and photography and he’s a very talented artist. One of his paintings sold at a gallery! He shows us his favourite paintings and he paints one for us – the Inuit Flag. As a photographer, Simon prefers to take pictures of art and nature. He goes bowling with his friend Jackson and his family and shows us his room where he has a microscope and a robot bug. Simon takes Jiu-Jitsu lessons and he’s proud of his coloured belts. Simon takes us on a tour of Inuit Day in Ottawa, and into the Elders’ tent where we see a traditional lamp and some traditional food! Simon’s special word is "pualuk", which is "mitts" in Inuktitut.
