Holocaust survivor, Ella Blumenthal, was born on July 25th, 1921, in Warsaw, Poland. In her USC Shoah Foundation testimony, Ella remembers her happy childhood before the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939.
Ella discusses being moved to the Warsaw Ghetto in October of 1940, her family members being taken to concentration camps, and her involvement in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
